When, where and how to mount the water tanks

Postby tcolar » Fri Jul 23, 2010 5:30 pm

I'd like to know it the underfloor water tanks (clean & grey) have to be mounted early on or if it can be done toward the end of the build.

I was thinking that if done at the end of the build, it might allow to choose the location as to tune the proper trailer balance/tongue weight.

That leads to question #2, how are they attached securely to the frame/floor ?

A water storage system should be well thought out in advance due to the amount of weight it entails and the possible affect on handling and tongue weight. Shouldn't matter where or when if it has been properly planned.

I'm pretty happy with my home made tanks. They were planned from the start and installed very early in the build.
