Any Width, Height, lengthening Modifications to their teardrop?

Many of us have, Dan. It's a personal preference. Mine is 10 X 5 X 4 sitting on an 8 X 4 metal trailer frame. You have to take axle placement into consideration when you start thinking of lengthening your trailer frame for balance and tongue weight, but it's done every day.

What were you thinking of doing? I'm sure someone has done it and posted their method here somewhere.

I originally planned on a five foot height, but changed my mind when I considered the additional plywood and seams. You can get 5" widths of plywood, but they're considerably more expensive. As I said, it's strictly personal preference.

I've done 5 modifications...unfortunately...it involved an entire new build each time...and all were different... Doug

What do you mean by addition? Like adding on after its been built for a few years, extending over the wheels, adding "extras"??? I though I knew what you meant when I opened this thread, but with two posts on the extreams, perhaps I didn't.

I mean going wider or taller after the fact, just hmm in and haw in.

I thought about on mine because who ever built did not add cab or a galley. Only problem I had is in order to do it you would need to rebuild it it any way so just makes more sense to build a whole new one.

Sorry about that, Dan. I misunderstood. I'd have to agree with Doug and Cliff here. Once you started to add on or refit, you'd probably open one big can of worms. If you decide to do it, good luck.
