Plastic Hinge Installation

I'm in the middle of my first teardrop trailer build and have gleaned alot of information from these posts to help me make up my mind about what supplies to get. One of thise items was a plastic hinge for the galley. I ordered the hinge and received no directions/advice on installation. I'm very near to skinning my 4x8 and would like some collective advice on how to use this hinge:
Is this hinge glued and screwed into structural framing before 1/4 plywood sheeting or on top of that skin?
How many screws are recommended along the 4' galley hinge?
Please send photos if possible.

Ron, I used a plastic hinge for my galley. When I put it in, I put caulking under it and drilled holes every two inches and then screwed it down. I put more caulking on top and covered the hinge with a wood strip which I also screwed down. After a couple of years the wood developed dry rot (poplar) so I remove it . I then got a piece of aluminum about two inches wide and 1/8" thick, removed all the screws in the hinge, put butyle tape on top and screwed the bar down on top. I removed the excess tape that oozed from under it. Not sure, I might have a picture in my album....

I built a Woody so i compressed the hinge under oak strips, screws every 6 inches. Wood trim/hinge/roof sealed with epoxy.

Looks like about 3/4" gutter. Is that enough clearance when the hatch is open?

Ron,,,,I just installed the same hinge I got from ebay,,,,,some kinda polyhoobedoobee material,,,again no instructions,,,,used 1" aluminum carpet strips(budget build) on each side with stainless screws about 6" apart. Not sure how it will hold up over time but it was watertite today in a pretty good rain
