Now that tung has broken it is time for me to better understand Tung weight and what it realy means.

My newly welded tung with the 2 foot from hithc center and 1 foot after as found near the bottom of sdtripper2's Index I got 65 lbs but I do not know the weight of my trailer empty or full.
I have insurance but not for a tow nor weld but I got a good price and am back on the road.
But if you want to get to your camp site or home like I did there is nothing worse then sitting at the side of a main street with you trailer sitting with the front on the ground. And you are scrating your head realizing that you should have paid for that Good sam insurance, or AAA or who ever and they would get you home on a Sunday when everything is closed. I had a relative in the area and was on my way and home that night.
I brock not at the hitch But where the body and the tung meet.
Later I will get into what you should do or look at when buying a used frame or trailer.
I tend to do it all backward. my hind site says DON"T. Do it right the first time and Listen to the DMV and take a close look at how the manufaturers do it. This is the second event with my trailer and both have been in weekends hundreds of miles from home.

When you finish with that trailer and get it taged take it down to be weighed empty then when you are loaded for a trip or back from a trip have it weighed again so you can best lean how to get there safe and sound.
