Ok, I've looked and have yet figured out how you have drilled such nice holes diagonally into 1x2' to hold them to the larger sections. I'm sure there is a tool but have yet not found one shown here.

If you are talking about pocket holes this will do it. There are different manufacturers and different prices...

I think I paid 30 bucks for an off brand at HD. Don't know how I lived so many years without one! Have used it for two other projects to date.

My neighbor had the cheaper version from HD and trashed it after 3 holes. Go to Lowes and get the Kreg, money well spent.

Oh ya, get a bag of Kreg screws while you are there, they work better than regular wood screws.

The single hole one from Kreg's is like $20 if you have clamps already. Believe it or not (hard to) the pocket hole jig for multi holes at Harbor Freight is better constructed than the Kreg jig - it's all metal but it does cost more and is a little more handy if you ask me, but not as portable as the portable Kreg models.

Either one will get the job done.

Thanks guys. Building aircraft I always had tools that allowed for great alignment. But for the most part they were supplied.
But If I do build one I'll want a tool to build with.

I have one of the General brand, E-Z Pro models from Lowes. I bought it on a whim, thinking I might need it one day. I think it was $20. I've used the heck out of it and it's still going strong. I was considering the Kreg, but couldn't justify the cost for a tool that, I thought, would probably end up in the bottom of the tool box after I finished my TTT. If it ever poops out, I'll get the Kreg. Pocket hole jigs are da bomb.

I borrowed my neighbor's Kreg jig several times and he finally told me to get my own. I build cabinets and furniture on occasion (and even built some for his garage!) and can't believe I ever tried to build without one of these! I bought the K3 Master set and have used it so much I am thinking about buying the Pneumatic Foreman when my jig wears out.

The comment about using kreg screws is dead on. The flat head is what stops the screw from countersinking itself like a wood or sheetrock screw would. The prices for kreg screws at Amazon is about the best I've found.
