Here are a few pictures of my friends ( now register here as crod ~ Charlie ) first trailer build of a box camping / hunting trailer. Very simple box shape....note extended tongue. The frame is an older 1820# HF modified tongue ( thanks Nobody (Harvey & Lenora) Teardrop for the design ).

That is a tall one. Seems it would be top heavy once done since it looks narrow?

If that is steel u channel it will be very heavy when done. The Axle may not be heavy enough to hold it all. Bill

It is 6 foot high. I did mention about the height problems he might have with side winds on the road but; I have talked about making it 6 foot wide and maybe add a longer axle under to make it under 80" wide overall. Yep; it is steel "C" purlins for the structure and base angle upper and lower edges. It is on a older 1850# HF frame. It is surprising lighter than I would have envisioned. I would have liken to have the "Thrmo-Tru" insulated doors for wall construction like my trailer ( an easy after thought that could be changed later ).It could real easily be turned on edge and remounted on its side. It is REALLY STRONG! You could just add a tongue, springs, axle and wheels as it is without the HF frame. 8)

Charlie ( Check under "crod" member ) has made it a family project and his first build ;)
You need to put your tag on it and take it down the road. I will see him later today and maybe get him to drive it around to get the feel of it.
Funny the frame has over 20,000 miles on it. ;)

:D :P :pictures: :campfire: :relaxing: :icedtea: :picklejuice: :designing: :beautiful: :cheerswine:

PS: My trailer has made some changes in it also; but will look the almost the same for LCG this year. I know pictures follow later :) 8)
