Don't know if this has been covered before, or not, but I've been on the telephone for the past two days trying to find out what I have to do to comply with Oklahoma's trailer lighting requirements. Turns out our State just uses the Federal Gov's requirements. I finally found the following site and boy is it helpful. Hope it helps you also.

(God, I didn't realize it was so darned long!)

Chris,
Thanks for the post. I had found similar info, but it was not as user friendly. I think I'm within Federal regs! Now I need to find out if Oregon is the same.

bledsoe,
Sounds good, we will be around all weekend.
I dread the DMV experience...

Chris, I just called the Highway Patrol and asked them. I figured they should know since they are the ones that do vehicle inspections and such. Each state will have it's own special laws that go along with the federal ones. Here in KS, the trailer laws are pretty light. If it is under 2,000 pounds we don't have to license it but has to have a tag that says "Under 2M". Sounds like a real riggamaroo out on the West coast to get a trailer licensed....... oy!
