Using PVC lambries to cover it all?

What do you think using plastic (PVC) lambries directly to frame for a caravan outer wall covering?

Some one constructed one using what looks much like this in the UK. I think it a great idea.

They are amazingly ultralight. Bu i afraid of if cant do waterproofly.
