Weekender Sandwich Panel Question

I am going to build a Weekender and have a question. I have searched and cant find the specific answer. I plan on using 1/4 moisture resistant luan on the outside, 1x2 framing, and 1/8 paneling on the inside. The length will be 10 feet. On Mike's photos on his weekender, I can see the line where he joined the 8 foot piece to the 2 foot piece. Is it just a butt joint? I have read the instruction on how to stretch plywood but with a sandwich wall and 1/4 outside ply I can't figure out how to do it.

I plan on the same wall structure c/w 2" ridgid foam insulation glued to both panels. I believe this will be a very lightweight, strong, warm/cool wall. I think your on the right track.

I joined mine with a butt joint with a piece of plywood behind. I have 4 or 6 inches (I forget) on either side of the joint and glue. Also have screws...Way over done maybe but it is still there. 8) I used super glue and it oozed out and around. Got everywhere.

Another way is to place the joint on the 1x2 framing (or add another 1x2 where the joint falls.) This way you don't have to worry about joining the plywood together before attaching it to the framing.
