I was walking through HD in my never ending cycle of lumber runs when I saw something that caught my eye. In the flooring department I noticed some stair tread edge guards. The are mass out of aluminum and come in different colors and textures. For a twelve foot piece the cost was about $12. I am wondering if anyone else has used this and do you think it would work? I am building a weekender so there are no curves.

too thick to bend properly if you have any curves... If no curves Then I don't see why it wouldn't work with some butyl under it to seal it.

No angles with the weekender. I think it will work.

I have used it many times as a Roof edge on Straight runs on Larger RV's. (lots of RV'ers damage the top corners of there roofs by driving into things....though as I'm told, its never there fault!)

But as others have said, its to thick to bend.

However, if you were to do a squared off build I see no reason why it wouldn't work if notched at the angles and used in conjunction with "Putty Tape".
