Do you normally use the same edge molding for the hatch that you use for the main body of the TD?

...if you can...I used standard RV insert corner molding for all the outer edges...it is available from RV supply house(usually painted) and I believe Grant at Lil Bear and the folks at So-Cal Tds sell it as well both with mill finish................

I found stair tread edge guard at Lowe's that I am going to use. It comes from 3-12 feet long and is 1 1/4" x 1 1/4 angle. It also comes in mill, pewter, and brass finish. Best of all it is only 10.95 for a twelve foot long piece. I am building a weekender so I don't have any curves, only angles. I don't know how well it would bend.

I wont bend well at all, but will work for you though.
Let me edit that: It will bend, but will kink and not form well

I used a snap on door edge guard from an auto parts store.
