first off, WELCOME...you're asking about everything...you use various thicknesses of plywood to build...my best advice to you, is to start with the top of page index, specifically, the Generic Benroy Plans, Rich's list and sdtripper2' index and then go from there to the various stickies at the start of each forum...the more research you do, the more you learn and the better educated your questions will become, allowing us to give you more specific answers...but of course, the main thing is to...HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

For wood choices you have many! After my friend who is a carpenter showed me the playhouse he made for his daughter years back out of unfinished cedar, I went to a store near him that sells cedar I went that route. More expensive initially, but i didnt go the sealing with epoxy route, because cedar is very rot resistant ( and I like when I go in there after its been sealed up for a while and it smells so good lol). We have people building teardrops out of foam and fiberglass, aluminum, composite walls etc. So your only limited by your imagination!

Read through the forum, there is lots of great information. Most of us gladly talk about our mistakes and what worked out well. I surfed the forum for almost a year and a half till I could afford to start my build and because my carpentry experience was very limited. Lots to learn!

Best of luck!

 I started with the build journals because there are so many ways to build a Teardrop. Do check out the Generic Benroy plans. Amazing what you will learn. And what questions you will ask.

Don't forget the Foamy! 8)

And I will have to look for the link for the Aussie TD board!
