Oh, by the way, this is only a 1/12th scale model. GOTCHA!!!
Yes, Since I can't build the real thing yet, I am constructing a scale model just to see what It will actually look like. What you see is a 12 3/8" long chassis, made of 3/16" square balsa. That's as close to scale 2" square as I could get. I printed out scale parts, like the wheels, lights, and side stripe, to apply to the wood for realism. Those wheels are cut from 3/4" pine with a 2" hole saw and the edges rounded. Finally, I glued on the "wheels" and mounted them on a 3/16" dowel axle.

I will take pics of the construction and final views just as if it were the real thing. For any who are interested in seeing my project, I'll put the pics in a gallery and post the link when I get more done. That won't be before Monday evening at the earliest.

Looking Great! :applause: Can't wait to see the finished product. Maybe you can sell it on ebay when you are done  If you can bear to part with it. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do model wise with the teardrop body!

Kewl !!! :applause:

I have my teardrop only in my head so far but thought about making a simple model, out of cardboard or such just to "see" it for real ... and decide how I want the galley...

good luck !!!
