Latching the hatch

Postby Ken » Fri Jul 29, 2005 7:50 pm

I need decent looking hatch latching hardware. Something better than the grey HD galvanized steel latch you would use on a barn door. Looking for an internet order source.

I just received a dead bolt rod lock from Austin Hardware. It seems very well made.

Jim, How can you go wrong for nine and change. I'm a ways from building my hatch, but that looks good.

I've used two interior "cab latches" (lower photo) with "T" handles on the exterior.... (one on each side about 8"inboard)
