Pop up roof questions

It's 2:30am Sat. and I'm at work. I searched a bit to no avail, pop tops.
How to do it, and seal it on road/set up in camp? If one side is to pop up,
what hinges to use? Solid fold up walls?


I'm baffled, and really curious about the subject. Point me
In the direction for build info, and I'll be very thankful.
It's now 2:40am and I will return to my regularly scheduled
work.

There are a number of different ways to approach this type of roof structure. Ultimately you need to keep rain out while both camped and driving. I am still working out how I am going to do the hinge on my build that has a pop up top, but here is a drawing of how I am dealing with the opening:

I am building a little "lip" around the opening to keep water from pouring into the opening from the flat roof section.
