Vinyl wrap

Postby mallymal » Tue Jul 05, 2011 4:31 pm

Wondered if anyone had used vinyl wrapping on their tear?

Maybe a high gloss coloured wrap over well sealed ply for the sides.

Found this site here in the UK where the prices for vinyl for DIY application seem very reasonable

http://www.mdpsupplies.co.uk/vehiclewrappingvws1.asp

eg 5' wide just over £9 a linear meter. So even a 3m long tear: £27 a side. (approx $43).

With the cost of marine paint & other exterior coatings, maybe an idea.

They even do a SILVER for that faux aluminium look at a fraction of the cost.

Seems to good to be true.... gotta be a catch somewhere
:duh:
