Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Ive been seriously thinking about redoing our tear and I thought just maybe I will redo the outer sidewalls with wood strips just like on a wood strip canoe...But then I would have to widen the outer edges...

Or maybe just doing an outer shell veneer job with 1mm or less most likely 0.8 mm ... using Mahogany veneer which isnt at all expensive here..and using epoxy glue or equivalent to press it on.. with Marine urethane to seal n shine the new wall shell.. Ive used this veneer quite a lot and it looks real classic.

We have a Baltic Ply here that can be used also which is bendable and very nice for furniture and decor work...I could used both the veneer and mahogany and join the 2 together with a cut out design ...

I think your trailer is perfect just as it is!!! The downside of a woodie is upkeep....

Thank you Dave, such nice comments from an Artist as yourself.. We also have a garage now too so it would help come winter


The Kit restoration is going to be be very special but I wont reveal pics as of yet..
