how abut a bit more info on the project - do you REALLY need to extend the frame or is it that you want to overhang the frame with your plywood?

I am thinking to get an extra 5 inches on the side of a 5x8 frame. So if cutting floor 5 inches wider will be best, that's good. I need advice on best thing to do. Of course I can do without the extra inches. I uploaded a pic of a big drop I have purchased plans for to build, and am thing if reg teardrop

The overhang is probably the best option - check out the build link in my signature for the Green lantern - it has 14 inches of overhang on each side with no bracing underneath the overhang - there are plenty of picts to look at. :D

your example is great,,, in fact I may need to revise building plans ,, the round front is good and square back I like.,,, on a 5x8 should be good? In my gallery is a pic of the big drop I have plans for.
