plan on a "lil diner" style,
will fab the trailer frame from 2x2 sq tube, and.. plan to make the walls and top with sq steel tube, 1in x 1/16 wall,(.062) this will allow for 1in styrofoam insulation,
it will be rigid, with no flex, then thin veneer inside, and ??? outside. ( not decided yet) contour will be wood, but basic frame will be steel.
I am concerned about weight, so will be keeping that in mind, but I do not expect it to be any heavier than a plywood wall type tear.
still doing plans, so will start later this summer.
I'm open to suggestions/critique.
thanks

what I do to wood, you'd understand,
best thing I do with wood, is to put it in the fireplace,LOL
metal I understand, but wood and I do not get along, it seems it shrinks or
always isn't straight.
so I'll admit it, and do what I do know.
Thanks

Hi doghouse,

As dh said, your build method has been done by others on the forum
with great success. So, forge onward and good luck with your build.

One big benefit of the metal framing method is you won't have any
problems with wood structure rot from water intrusion, but you'll still
need to do good waterproofing and rustproofing/painting/coating of the
framing to forestall rust issues - no free lunches ya know! Ha!

Cheers,
