FRP panels for covering the sides?

Undecided over what to use to cover the 5x8 I'm building.....aluminum over luan for the top...saw FRP panels at HD....have used them before for shower walls...easy to install and waterproof...how do they stand up to UV rays?....anyone out there used them and can offer any thoughts?....next choice would be fiberglass mat and then paint....I did a search and it came up with so many threads, I couldn't find any input....thanks and love the forum....

People have posted here that the ones at HD are not UV protected. Also the ones that are UV protected are a lot more.

They do add some weight to a build. But they have been used successfully. The key is to use a plastic compatible paint with UV inhibitors in it.

At a salvage yard I found rolls of FRP that were 6' 8" wide by how much you need.
I used it for exterior walls and roof. I also used it for interior walls and floor.
Sherman williams guy said I should use Krylon fusion rattle cans on the first coat. This paint is made for plastic and has excellent UV protection. It adheres rather well. He said I could then use a high quality exterior paint over the Kryon Fusion.
I finished my td in early 2007 and have pulled it over 22,000 miles.

I used Sequentia panel by Crane plastics on the last 2 builds.

In their warranty info it states a full 10 year warranty against UV degradation!
