Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I'm working on the perimeter trim for my tear's sides and am planning to join the sections together with epoxy/biscuits, then router/jigsaw to shape. After the initial mock-up pieces shown here, I've made my final pieces from clear pine and have the slots cut ready to join. Not being much of a woodworker, I'm wondering if I should stain all my pieces, epoxy them together, sand the face of the joined strip, restain, coat with epoxy to seal or what? I don't want epoxy to fill the wood grain and not allow the stain to reach all areas around the glue joints if I don't stain first. Most of the trim I see on the site almost looks like one piece. I need some advise from those that know.

just glue up the pieces.. any excess epoxy will be sanded away when you sand your trim.. no real need to use epoxy either.. any water resistant PVA like Titebond II will do..

I realize it may be overkill but I thought as I already have a couple of gallons of epoxy, plus it will ensure compatibility with the epoxy I'm going to seal it with anyway. I'm not familiar with PVA, is that just a regular wood glue or something specialized?

ya, PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) is what most woodworking adhesives are... Weldbond, Titebond etc..
