sanding plugs Update: how do you brush off the dust??

I am sanding some wooden plus I put in the screw holes and am wonderimg about the gorilla glue that dripped or pooled around the edges. It doesn't seem to sand very well and wondering how the cpes will react or penetrate. I also am wondering about some of the smaller holes I filled with wood filler how will that take the epoxy. Thanks

one of the welders i work with used gorilla glue to hold two pieces of stainless steal together and tried to weld a seam and the heat caused the gorilla glue to expand. watch out with heat, that is all i know

I have Gorilla Glue; but, elected to use Titebond and PL instead. If I remember correctly, Gorilla Glue tends to expand as well as run out too much. If no one answers your question, I suggest that you put a little GG on a piece of scrap wood, let it dry and then try the CPES on it, to see what happens. ...Easy.

The other thing that you can do is ask the Rot Doctor. They'll know.

Just a thought, but isn't G. Glue water proof? So CPES not penetrating shouldn't be a biggie. As long as its slightly roughed up you should get a mechanical bond over the top.

Sanding the plugs and getting the edges flushed and making alot of fine sawdust. Dust mask anyone?????

Anyway i was wondering what do people use to brush off the dust. was thinking a damp washcloth and then that got me thinking oh dont want to wet the wood, then thought mineral oil or spirits and then i just figured i dont know

I would prefer to vacuum or sweep it off and then use a tack cloth, available anywhere finishing supplies are sold (or you can make your own) to get as dust free as your environment will allow.
