Has anyone ever used small ceramic tile in a TT countertop? I know here is a weight difference, but would vibration from travel cause it to come apart?

I am planning to using tile. I planin usng really tight joints and using constructive adhesives to hold them down.

Mine were 4x4 +/- I bedded and grouted them with white 100 % silicone caulk. Four years and 3000 to 4000 miles and they still looks great.

Its nice having a landing spot for a hot skillet or a place for the cook top without worry !

On our teardrop, I used glass mosaic tile.

The tile is adhered to 1/2" plywood deck with PL Premium. I used epoxy grout to fill the joints.

Our teardrop hasn't had the number of trips that Bob's has, but so far no cracking in the grout joints (or the tile.)

Take care,
Tom

It held up great for the 3 years I had it, now Bill Z owns it.
