Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Started about 6 tonite, got the frame tacked together and squared after spending about an hour trying to decide where to put the axle

Here's the trailer, okay so it's just a bunch of pieces but I promise it will be a trailer, it's just waiting for somebody to put it together

Okay, so now it's a frame, tacked together, just got to square it up and weld it.

Frame welded up and tongue and hangers tacked on. Should be finished and prepped for paint by tomorrow evening barring any unforeseen interuptions which seem to be frequent around here.

From the front, time for a break, 10PM it's beer thirty.

Things are going fast! and looking good too!

Are you going to take that off road? The frame looks like it could handle about 5 tons. How much does it weigh?

Actually that frame is going to be pretty light, it does look heavy in the pics tho. All it is made out of is 2X1 1/2X1/8" angle and 2X2X1/8" tube with a 2X3X1/8" tongue. Should get around to weighing it this week, but I expect it to be under 400# complete with 15" wheels and tires, but it will be plenty strong once the TD is on top.
Pictures didn't come out too good for some reason, I think I had the lens set for extreme close up.
It should be done today, with a little luck, under paint tomorrow. I have to pick up the wheels this week, I'm using Explorer wheels because that's what we are pulling it with so I won't need another spare.

Well it's Sunday night and as usual plans got squashed, way too many interuptions, didn't get it painted but I did manage time to get the tongue braces, coupler, chains, springs and axle mounted. Certainly not the progress I was hoping for but progress none-the-less.
I'm hoping this week will go more smoothly.

We have walls Well, not really, this will be the stud wall once I lay it out and cut out all the excess. Probably work on the other one tonight and try to get them ready so I can get the outside oak cut out and glued on tomorrow. Finally something done But at least I am happy with the profile so I don't have to start over again. Got about 16 days to get this thing built and water tight. Man the days go fast when you are trying to get something done. I still have an addition to finish wiring and a 30 X40' garage to wire in that time too. Yikes!

Oh, I'm sure you can get it done, all it takes is a little knowledge and some effort on your part.

What "style"/"type" is this body called, where both the front and back have those really rounded curves? In other words, is there a generic term for this body design?
