Was wanting everyone to look at what I had planed on the entry door seals. I am going to use Grant's door seal that he has. Do's................... dont's there is no way that will work. What ever yall think. Was going to seal all the wood with epoxy or varnish to create a smooth hard finish.

That looks okay to me. It looks like your door frame will be thinner than your wall to allow space for the inside gasket w/o needing a spacer under the inner trim flap, and the rabbet around the outside of the jamb frame is recessed for the same purpose.

I would avoid going any thinner on the exposed edge of the door "flap". Do you plan on trimming this edge, too, or just soaking it with epoxy? The edge of the ply might be susceptible to damage otherwise.

In another thread Grant mentioned that his seal will squeeze down fairly thin, if desired, so you may want to get it in hand before you decide how much gap you need to leave in the squish zone.

I am assuming that you plan to round at least the top corners of your doors so that the seal can be continuous there.

Another thing to consider is your hinges; make sure that the screw holes are far enough away from the flap edge to find solid frame and not the edge of the flap.

Just the $.02 I have on me at the momment.

I had planed on epoxy and maybe a strip of tape.

You are right in need to get those first.

All the corners will be rounded. They have a 6" radius now.

I found some 6" strap hinges that are stainless steel that I am thinking of using. I also did a double stud all the way around the door for some extra meat.

That's what I needed. Thank you.

Clint,

I was going to double seal my doors as you drew them, but after installing Grant's seals on the outer seal, I've never needed to install the inner seal. We've been through some pouring rain going camping and they haven't leaked. I probably will install the inner seals some day just to cover up the sloppy sealing job I did around my door jambs.

Take care,
Tom
