Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

hello everyone

I am currently into my build and stumbled across something I should research a little more " my build is a body covering the sides of the frame , and how I am doing it is with a 2x2 wood border glued and screwed to the sides and front of the frame to attach the walls so I can hide the frame from view , I sort of mocked it up with one wall to check clearance between the tire and wall and I have 1" from tire to wall which seemed ok from the posts Ive read, but there is one thing that I noticed about the torsion swing arm , it is only 1/4" from the wall and that is getting close , question is should I increase the clearance? anyone with more experience than I your expertise is accepted here please advise!

Hey, Joe!

1/4" is fine ... a little tight, but I've gotten away with as little as 1/8" ... remember that the trailing arm of a torsion axle moves straight up & down, without any twisting movement (unless it's worn out ... ...!). Same with tire clearance, BTW.
