How do you get wiring from cab to tongue box?

Hey guys,

I've been thinking about how I'm going to get my 12V system wires from the front of my trailer into the tongue box? I've been trying to think of ways to attach a flanged tube around them and then let the aluminum skin cover over the flange or something but still keep it all sealed so there's no chance of moisture getting in there. The tongue box will only be about an 1" or so away from the trailer body. What have you guys done and how have you got your wiring into the tongue box?

Here's the front of my trailer, you can see where the wires come out of the front wall...

Drill holes in tongue box, line hole with grommet (to protect wire) and then seal hole/grommet with silicone RTV ...

Maybe put foam rubber donut between to body and tongue box to protect the wiring....

Maybe run wires through a section of rubber hose and then seal hose to tongue box and body with silicone RTV..

Looks like you may be too far along to make any drastic changes, but I used 1/2" clear vinyl tubing as conduit for my battery wires and trailer wires from the tongue to the cabin.
I mounted a battery box on the tongue and the trailer wiring runs through the battery box primarily just to line it up as it comes out the back.
I used terminal strips for each system just inside the cabin to allow easy disconnect of the front end wiring without affecting the rest of the wiring in the cabin.
Check the last page of my journal (weekender status - updated 6-4-12) to see detailed pics of all my wiring.

Thanks guys! The vinyl tubing isn't a bad idea! I bet I could sleeve the wires in some vinyl tubing and just glue it to the body and then seal it with some roofing silicone under and on top of the aluminum. Then just run some silicone around where it enters the tongue box. Sounds like I'll be stopping off at home depot tonight and grab some tubing!
