2 months ago I purchase a new trailer for my motorcycles . Not the best service in the world but while I was on site I was given a small tour. I noticed the cabinets were not being built out of mainly wood. Instead they used aluminum sheets with foam and aluminum trim.. At least with the doors that is. Has anyone noticed how they built the rest of the cabinets?

This makes them super super light......

Several years ago I helped do a remodel on the mega-sized sleeper of a semi tractor. The cabinets we removed were made of 1.5" square aluminum tubing welded at joints, covered with aluminum sheeting tack-welded to the frames and then covered with foam backed fabric of some sort, probably vinyl.

Best,
Tom

Do you have a trailer manufacturer name or web site address?
No one can know how they construct their product otherwise.

I know the TrailManor telescoping travel trailers use a similar method
in their construction for light weight. The aluminum and foam
sandwich construction makes a sort of SIP panel, strong and light.
