I know that this topic has been discussed before, but it is one that bears repeating for those newer folks like me who think too much when trying to solve a problem. I had visions of some sort of fabricated bracket that would have to be screwed onto the body to cover both ends of the hinge. After a little research on some past forum posts I found this really neat (and simple) idea. Simply cut off the rounded portion of the lower leaf of the hinge and install a small sheet metal screw into the rounded part of the upper leaf. I cut the rounded part of the lower leaf flush with the side of the body. My hinge overhangs 1/2" and I drilled for the sheet metal screw about 1/4" from the edge. After these screws are in place on both sides, the hinge is totally secure and cannot move side to side.
