Wall profile and roof framing pics..

Postby Yakangler » Thu Oct 18, 2012 12:22 pm

New builder here with a couple pics for the veterans to critique...

Trailer has 5x9 floor and walls are secured to floor with 2.5" deck screws every 4".

My questions are:
1. Is the 2x3 framing for walls and roof substantial at these dimensions? Roof is on 16" centers with the "Kregged" joints and inside width of 55".
2. Would 1/4" plywood be sufficient for roofing material and walls?

THANKS!

That will be very sturdy, but may end up heavier than you think. :frightened:

What type of camping do you plan on doing, parks or deep back woods, or something in between?

Unless you are hardcore off road, think airplane, not tank. It's a little camper on wheels, not an addition to your house. ;)

Most importantly, have fun and build what works for you.
