Parts for my next trailer, FREEBIE.

Postby down under tech » Sat Nov 24, 2012 9:59 pm

Hello: Today, My friend Leroy and I went and picked up most of the parts for my next trailer I am going to build. The parts came as a package deal. And the price for them was FREE. I had to spend less than $40 for the gas to go and get the parts. They even came in a storage container.

I was thinking of building a small standy. I hit the jackpot with useable parts. I have a heater, a two way refrigerator, a stove with an oven, a water heater, a power converter, a wet bath with a toilet, 5" foam for a queen size bed & a bunch of windows. Parts are from a 1979 King o' the Road cab over camper. There are a lot of parts I can use inside the camper. There are a lot of parts I can sell too.

This is what I got...

I will start a build thread when I get started building the trailer...

Johnny....you did much better than I did on my "free" trailer. You're going to have a lot of good parts to use....nice that you got a furnace. If they are working....you got some great high dollar parts....... Doug

Hey Kirkman & Dougie Doug: I have been scanning Craigslist in my area for a while now trying to find something like this. I could not believe when I came across this camper. The roof had leaked and the owner started to fix it but stopped because he lost interest in it and he bought a newer fiberglass cab over camper. His wife told him to get rid of it. She wanted it gone and he placed the ad. I was the second one to respond. The first guy fell through because he only had a 1/2 ton pick up that was a short bed. I have a 1/2 ton long bed 4x4 Chevy pick up and I conned my friend to drive his 3/4 ton PU that was already set up for a cab over camper. I bought him lunch and dinner plus I paid for the gas in his truck we used. It was a great deal. My wife is excited that we will have a new TTT.

I will take pictures as I disassemble it for the build.

Sounds great!

Are you going to have the new one done in time for Falling Tears?
