Roof tar question: I just noticed the gallon of Henry Fibered Black Roof Coating I got to seal the underside says "DO NOT USE with ... wood shingles or any kind of wood flashings." The plywood I got is sheathing grade and then there's the 2"x3"s for framing. Is this stuff cool to use as sealant? I was just going to go ahead and do it, but does anyone on here have any input on using this stuff? Or any other solvent-based tar on plywood?
Thanks!

I used Blackjack fibered tar roof coating on the underside of the Command Post. So far, no problems. It's been on there a year now. Not done building yet, but I havent seen any negative effects

I saw the same warning on the Henry's can when I went to coat the bottom of my plywood deck. I put two coats of Zinsser primer on the plywood first and then two coats of the Henry's.
It's been on for a year with no problems.
