My side aluminum has come up short by as much as 1.5". I need some sort of treatment of the bottom edge for cosmetics and sealing. The walls come down flush with the HF trailer frame.
Any ideas for wide bottom trim?
2 inch wide flat stock aluminum always seems too thick. Carpet trim is another idea that might look tolerable...

A bench built fiberlass lay-up would be easy, strong, and cheap to do. Carbon fiber would also look great. You could epoxy it on or make it removable by using screws and caulk.

If you want to do it cheap, you can do what I did and use 1/4" lattice. It is 1.5" wide. I needed to cover the exposed edge of the floor on mine. I primered and painted the lattice to match the black frame and screwed it into my sidewalls. I didn't bother to seal it since it is so cheap I can simply replace it if it goes bad. If 1.5" isn't enough, you could rip a 1X3 in half.

I suppose with the right paint job that could be a reasonable deception.
But now I am thinking I might just by a 1/16" thick 2x2 aluminum angle and rip it with a table saw to get two 1.75" pieces...

What about aluminum diamond plate? It would look good and hide any imperfections along the bottom.

yeah. diamond plate is a good idea, and originally I was thinking of diamond plate trim and matching tongue box. But I ended up getting a smooth painted box instead. I'd rather come up with a mill finish solution, but the diamond would work.

Well, I think I am going to go with this "edge" trim all the way around the bottom:

Mark,
Is this what you want.
Powder coated diamond plate.

I did end up using the 2" flashing mounted backwards and tucked UNDER the main skin. You can sort of see it here at the bottom of the side wall. (Okay, not well). I will need to add a bead of sealant and another line of stainless screws where the overlap is.
