Yet another hurricane hinge instilation

OK The galley hatch construction is similar to Steve Frederick's style....So I figure to notch out the hinge as such...
See how the contour won't work so notch the bottom flange correct?

And with the hatch side in place.. The hatch part of the hinge flange needs to be notched as well....

I left a 5/16'' gap between the spars...

I installed the stop screws as close to the end as possible and have 1/4'' overhang....
