Another Steel Frame Rust Treatment

Postby mezmo » Mon Dec 30, 2013 3:30 am

I just came across this today. It seems a good possible
alternative for treating a rusty frame or rustproofing a new one:

That's what I used on my frame. It's tough as nails.

Me too. Rust Bullet is a great product. It looks like a high quality powder coating when it is cured. A Six Shooter Combo Pack Rust Bullet is what I used. Two colors make it easy to be sure everything is well coated/sealed.

Get small cans because it can cure solidly in the can if its open very long. Be sure to wear gloves and long sleeves when you use it, or the paint will stick to you until your skin sloughs off.
