I would like to start a build. It will be my first. I already have a 2k tortion axle, tires wheels, and 2x2 tube and coupler. I was going to use the free Benroy plans on line and alter them to build a 5x10. Now I am thinking that maybe I should spend the $40 and get the set of plans from lil bear. I may have painted my self into a corner already by buying the axle first. I used the specs from this build to order my axle

I have found that all my projects go smoother, have less waste and come out with a better finished fit when I have plans on paper, especially when the task is something new and different from things I may have done in the past. That applies to a wooden tool box or bookshelf all the way to a large project like a garage, cabin or home addition. I don't have any problem with taking a set of plans and modifying them. I've done a lot of that. Changing dimensions is fine as long as the integrity of the structural elements are not compromised.
