found : door for sliding AC unit ?

Postby tac422 » Fri May 16, 2014 9:35 am

I'm looking for what other people have used for a door when they have a AC unit that slides in and out of the cabin.
I have a 12x15 AC unit that I'd like to place in the front wall, and be able to slide it in and out as needed.
So I'm looking for a watertight door to put in the wall.
I've been browsing the interwebs, but I'm having trouble finding something suitable.
Thanks in advance,
tac

Many use an RV cargo door. Here is one 18x18

I made my own to go with the aluminum skin.

Here is mine...

It may be a little more pricey, but I was thinking about a Marine Hatch opening for a boat. You know they're watertight regardless of the orientation, usually lockable and very weather resistant. Just a thought.
If they don't find you handsome....
