Hi, I got my doors and hurricane hinge ordered! and the majority here seems to be sold on the Fantastic vent... So... which model did you buy? 4000R? or 5000RBT, or 6000 model?

I went with the Maxx Air Deluxe because it keeps the rain out when open and has 10 speeds, reverse and will run with the top closed. I wasn't to excited about having the remote (will have to pull the fuse or install a cutout switch to avoid current draw when in storage), but wanted some of the features of the deluxe model, so it came with. It seems really big when you take it out of the box, but a lot of that is in the trim ring which will get cut down at installation.

I haven't installed or used it yet, but will report in my thread when the time comes.

 I bought the 5000RBT from rvvent.com.

 Wish they sold one with the features of the 5000RBT that was upgraded with the lower amp draw (0.2 - 1.9 amps) of the 6600r/417 Fantastic Vent's 14 speed fan. :( They don't.
