I'm looking for suggestions on how to make this knife edge water tight. I put the edging on, but I'm not sure it will keep the northwest rain out. What suggestions do you guys have??

you need something that compresses when you shut it. A bead wont do it.

something like this. Got a bead to go on the lip and then a squashy section that can cover all if any uneven parts.

You might have to adjust your hinges as really you don't want to crush, just squeeze.

Actually the bead on the knife edge started out with the seal bulb, but it was just toi thick. So I trimmed it off so the door would close. But of course now I look at it and think "dohhh" what keeps the water out.

Instead of cutting the "bulb" part off completely, just cut along the inside to allow it to compress even further....

Well, another trip to the auto parts house. Unless someone knows a cheaper place?

+1 that's what I did...used '67-'72 Chevy Truck front doorseals (right & left). the mitered corners fit perfectly for my door design
