Rubber roofing

I'm sure someone has done a rubber roof on their build but I can't seem to find the threads.
My questions are :
1. Do you seal the nail/ screw heads in the roof skin, if so what did you use?
2. Do you paint or seal the wood before you apply the adhesive and what type of said sealer doesn't degrade with the adhesive applied.
3. What if anything in the process would you do differently?

I just glued it on with the approved adhesive.
But I suggest if you have a choice, use the latex mastic adhesive, not the solvent base stuff.
The solvent based adhesive I used (freebie, so i did not argue) will create extreme bubbling (lack of a better engish word) within the rubber.
Eventually as its solvents evaporate out, it will settle back down & be glued on tight, But dont be surprised if a wrinkle or bubble here or there remains.

You might be better off with TPO roofing.
TPO is a plastics relative of PVC. It can be glued down, also welded to make unusual shapes or to affect repairs.
TPO is also a smoother surface to clean up easier. Rubber roofing collects dirt & stains.

I use EPDM Rubber on Most of my Builds. I get it here.

Definitely use the Latex Mastic. It drys a lot slower and gives you more time to work with the material so you have less chance of wrinkles and Bubbles.

Counter sink and Spackle the screws/staples etc.

And Don't put a sealer on the wood before you glue the rubber on. The rubber sticks better to the raw wood than to a sealer.

Was looking around at Menards and wasn't sure what the correct latex adhesive for a rubber roof would be. What did you use? Going to do a rubber roof on my 5x8.

Is this the same that home depot has for shower pans?
What paint are you using to cover?
