Question about "The Mix"

If I coat my wood with The Mix, can I still glue to it using TBII? Or am I better off gluing to raw wood and coating afterwards? I have framed walls and will be gluing and nailing the inside in cedar. I am also in the process of installing the walls and would like to apply the mix to the floor.
As always, thanks in advance for the help.

Yep, always glue before you seal. TB2 is great on cleaned, well joined bare wood.

Yeah I figured bare wood is always better but didn't know if the mix soaks in enough to leave a surface to glue to.

Oil based polyurethane thinned with mineral spirits to help it soak in; "the mix".
Some people like to start real thin at 25 poly:75 spirits then move progressively thru 50:50, 75:25, finishing with full strength poly.
I have found that a ratio of 2 parts poly to 1 part spirits works well getting water to bead in one generous application (when tested on bent Okoume ply and cedar spars, both relatively soft woods); thinner just seems to take more coats.
Where I have wanted to back seal but still need to glue/adhere foam I did not build up so much that the surface became shiny; just 1 generous or 2 moderate applications. With no additional sanding or prep work, other than dusting off, the PL300 I am using to adhere the foam seems to be grabbing just fine (it is rubbery like caulk). Where I know I will be wrapping and/or gluing canvas, I have either left raw wood or will be sanding to provide tooth.
