John...here's the deal:

Open ANOTHER window for your photo. (Go to your gallery, click on that image, and copy the URL at the very top there.)

Now you're at your message, right? Start typing. Hit a return, then click the "img" button. Make sure you see that "Img" tag there. Now PASTE that URL. Now hit that "Img" thingy AGAIN. This SECOND IMG tag will now have a SLASH, unlike the first one.

That should do it for you. Just make sure that pasted URL is surrounded by those Img tags. Sometimes, when you click that Img button, it puts it in the wrong place.

All of the buttons on the 'Post a reply' page operate on the end of the text you've typed so far, so for example the 'img' codes will always get put at the end.

If you're trying to add a photo (or a URL) halfway through what you've written, it's easiest to add it at the end of the text and, when you're done, cut and paste it where you want it.

Of course, this is written for anyone reading this, not for you, Ira - what with the number of posts you've made, that would be as silly as trying to teach you to drink beer....... :D

I learned how to put photos in by finding someone who has a picture in their post/reply, whatever, then hitting the "quote" button in the top right. It'll take you to the "post a reply" page and you can see how the /img tags work. Reverse engineering, it's a wonderful thing.

I would hope that there are many NEW methods of drinking beer of which I'm not yet aware. I may be 49, but I'm always willing to learn new things.
