The Amazon description said it had no VOCs. I haven't used the product but I have used CPES. CPES is about 2/3 VOCs by volume, so much so that you should wear a respirator with organic cartridges when applying it.

Would you say it's good to go to use on our TD's?

No. Are you painting your teardrop with Rhino Liner?

Google up Smith and Co. Steve Smith. CPES is not like standard epoxies. Don't be penny wise, pound foolish.

The Raka 127 (thin) epoxy is great and much cheaper. It certainly soaks into the top surface of baltic birch. Their 3-quart kit will do a teardrop.

Will be painting with marine paint. Was more attracted to the non VOC's more then the price but if Smith CPES is still the recommended product then that's what I'll do.

If you will be storing the teardrop indoors it would last for many years with house paint on it.

The CPES can expand and contract at the same rate as the wood so it won't crack and fail anytime soon. I have been using it for years in the construction industry with no failures.

Hi, I'm in the planning stages. Is this type of epoxy used as an exterior sealant after the staining (assuming it's a woody)?
