Is it possible to build a teardrop slide out? If so how and with what material?

A slide-out for what? sleeping, galley, bathroom, foot slide-out for sleeping sideways?
With a slide-out there is some set up. With a simple teardrop there is almost no setup required.

Unless you made it a poptop or extremely small i see no sense in making a slide out but this ones pretty cool

Yea that's where I got my idea from. So will the floor of the slide out sit on the main floor? I don't know how it will work.

Yea it must either slide under or over the other.
Id use bearings if you were going to attempt it as it would be stronger than comercial slides

Do you know where I could get those? And what about the back side of the slide out? Wouldn't it just sit in the middle of the camper vertically when the slide out is not in use?

Im building 5 foot slide out draws at the moment but im only getting the parts together thus far.
Im using skateboard bearings but you might want to go a bit heavier if your putting all that weight on it.
By the looks of things the slideout on that one is the width of the actual cabin.
If you havnt built something like this before i recon it might be overly complex for a firs build

I don't see how I can use skateboard bearing for a slide out?

Why not just mount some rollers on bottom of slide out the sides will guide it a flange type around inside of wall will stop it from being pulled out too far and a couple of bars under the slide will support it kinda like a pop up pull bars out let them hit the ground supports slide out
