So hunters;
How do you store your rifles?
Looking for ideas to discretely store a couple of rifles in mine (for trips where a hunt might be on the cards)

Unless you make a pocket some were. I would just tuck one on each side of the bed between the mattress and the wall with the stock at the foot of the bed. If you have a thicker mattress it would not be seen. Or a hard case tucked under the mattress in the same spot. At the foot and edge of the bed you would hardly know it is there even when sleeping.

I would hard case them and put then under mattress or between mattress and wall....

I built my/our TD with intention of using it as a hunting rig in addition to family travel, gatherings, etc. When finishing the interior of the cabin, I designed a storage compartment at the front 'curve' of the TD so it would provide storage as well as support for sitting up in bed, reading, etc. The compartment extends upward on either side, to 'bullet' type reading lights & indirect LED night lights for when we hafta get up in the middle of the night. The compartment is very simple, consisting of a frame covered by Luan plywood with a top cover of same material, with a lift 'drawer pull', that fits neatly on brackets along the length & at each end. We use it to hold small, miscellaneous items, glasses, tissue, etc. at night & for travel so it's not obvious that there may be items beneath it in storage. I can store up to 5 hunting rifles in soft cases in the compartment & they're protected from sight, secure with the TD doors locked, & they don't bounce around during travel...
