Trailer frame size vs floor size.

If I have a trailer that is 12' long (minus tongue, etc -- just the cabin area) and 7' wide, can I make the cabin floor 6" longer front and 6" longer in back, and 3 inches wider on each side? The additional width isn't as crucial as the additional length.

I know you can add more interior room to the cabin by making the front and back walls bow or angle out, but can you actually make the floor longer than the trailer frame?

Yes u can a lot of trailers have out riggers on sides to accommodate the extra width

You should check your turning radius and backing clearance to make sure the corners don't come too close to your TV, otherwise you may have to extend the tongue.

6 inches isn't a lot, but on a short tongue it could mean the difference between fitting a propane tank, battery, spare tire, and/or tongue box w/o encroaching on the jack handle.
