Port Hole Window

I'm putting in a large porthole on the side of the teardrop, the only question I have is how do I install the window to be watertight?

Right now I just have the hole cutout in the frame, once I sheet the outside, I can make a lip or whatever I need.

Any advice?

Thanks

I bought store-bought for this reason. Too hard & time-consuming to reinvent the wheel.

If you look at automotive type window moldings & the string trick, this might help. It would still be a lot of work compared to buying off-the-shelf, IMHO.

have you looked at wiley windows. They work great and are low cost and easy to build.

So that begs the question, do you want them to be opening or fixed, screened or non?

The gama seal window is another possibility, I plan on a removable inner plexiglass pane for mine
