Glazing Tape instead of Calking

Postby southpennrailroad » Thu Jan 12, 2006 5:33 pm

I use this product every day for the past 25 years. Just happened to think this might just help others in building their tear. It could be used to seal the trim at the ends of the side walls where it meets the roof. Replacement for calking maybe? It might be a help in the seams areas as well. Also to help in areas for light duty holding points. Just thought you might want to consider it. Also for use as a very thin insulation around doors, windows or what ever. Not for sale just ask. You just need to pay for S&H.

Double back glazing tape. Usual use, to hold glass to vynal window frames.

Can this be purchased at a home center store, like Lowe's etc? Or at a glass repair shop?

It's used a lot by vynal window manufacturers. I work for one here in Pittsburgh and other window companies I workd for in the past use this as well.
