On the Northern Tool trailer the side rails overlap the cross members by an 1/8", when attaching a plywood subfloor how have you addressed that gap along the cross members before attaching the floor?
Do nothing, the difference is negligible or did you place some kind of spacer or foam?
thanks

Most people add a sliver of wood ripped on a table saw. Some have used plastic strip material as a shim. I think I even saw one builder use paint stir sticks.

+1 on KC's comment. I cut small strips of wood and glued them to the plywood. Also drilled holes in plywood for the bolt heads. Located holes by placing plywood on frame with clamps and then using a hammer to beat on each bolt head location. The bolt head leaves a dent in the wood. Flip the plywood over and drill the bolt head dents in the wood with a 1" spade bit.

I have the HF frame, but it has the same offset. I was going to use wood strips, but then remembered I had some 1/8" aluminum bar stock laying around so I made the shims out of those. Either would be fine.

I welded on 1/8th metal tabs on the inside cross members, then painted.

When I had a HF trailer for hauling, I just used fender washers.
