BUILDING TEARDROP PLANS

Postby Raven » Wed Jan 25, 2006 9:26 pm

Can someone point me to where I might acquire plans to build a teardrop?
I did bid on one at ebay, sadly it turned out to be this Lea-les person who is ripping people off. Yes I got the pans, and yes i was deeply ripped off. :x
However I am not deterred, just educated now about a scam artist.
So, can anyone help me find the plans to make one?
Thanks
Raven

Check the top of the page for Benroy plans also Steve Fredrick has them on CD. Great reviews!!
many drawings by andrew are great as well.
This site has many renderings to go by in the generic plans section also.
By the way welcome to the board!!

Hey Raven,

Sorry to hear you got ripped off.

If it makes you feel better, I've posted the plans Kerry and I are working on, in the menu... and while it's not 100% done, it's at least 95% of the way there... and best of all, it's free.

We are working on the trailer wiring right now.... and after that we can discuss what we'll mount on the tongue...

But in the meantime, the plans are better than what you can buy on ebay. And with a little help from Kerry and I, we'll make sure it stays that way!!!

Mike...

P.S. I couldn't have done it without Kerry (toypusher)... so mucho kudos to Kerry! ;)

Raven,
Check out Andrew's site, click on a profile, lots of excellent info!
http://www.angib.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/t ... tear00.htm

Or check out Kuffel Creek, nice set of plans, pretty much step by step. I used his plan, they are worth the money.
http://www.kuffelcreek.com/

Or check out the Hall of Fame. Lots of great ideas. You'll probably end up "making it up as you go" anyway. If you have a question just ask...

Well, I would use that, however my books are actully published. So dumping into that might not work.
But for everyones help, Im happy to share. So lets say if someone wanted to have some, post me with an address or email to send to, and Ill send them on.
I have a book for premade recipes you can take camping and have a fast easy meal stored and ready to go.
One thing I do understand.. gourmet eating on a dime. Camp cooking to make you think chef paul came to visit.
Again thank you all for your help. You have gone above and beyond the call. :applause:

Mike I checked my mail, but never saw anything unless it was for the recopes and buying something.

Also I went to the above link GENERIC BENROY PLANSD as advised and downloaded. Big time help, thank you very much for that.
:D
Send me a mailing address, and Ill send a FREE Ebook of my cookbook for everyone help. Then if you want you can load it to the page as a PDF for others to have. It has some great campsite cooking in it.
Also if you ever have a fundraiser and need a cookbook to sell, let me know, as I have a generic I can do with recipes from members, and also am able to bind them. Good for making some money for those that need it.
:applause:
Critter thank you for the welcome

Thank you again to everyone

Hi Raven!

It's unfortunate that you got conned by that jerk! To date I've had good luck on ebay, but I figure it's only a matter of time until someone rips me off. Glad everyone here pointed you in the right direction. I sound like a broken record, but this is an amazing group when it comes to advice, encouragement and all around fun.

Welcome to the insanity.

Oh, I grew up in Tucson. Still love the town. I don't get down there very often any more since Mom and Dad passed. I dream of Lucky Wishbone steak fingers.
